I have a galley, grey and black tank. The galley tank is left open all the time because I had to repair a leak in the bottom of the tank. My thought was if I keep the tank open there would be less strain on the repaired area. Recently I pulled the 5er for about 2 hours...it had some water, dish soap in it from use prior to moving. It sat in an unlevel position for a while after I parked it, when I did drain it I was surprised to see a lot of black material come out. I assumed it was like "sediment" that had accumulated in the tank.
