    Same here.
  • Don't know about the others but I am happy with my 1 year old Hankook's.
  • We replaced the Goodyear 670s with Hankooks the same size you listed and after 10,000 miles they have performed flawlessly & still look like new.
  • I just replaced my Michelins with Hankooks and am well satsfied but the Hankooks are marked "made in china". So what that got to do with the which one you'd purchase?

  • I replaced Michelins with Hankooks in 2010.

I could not tell any difference in ride.

Hankooks have been outstanding, they will be 3 years old in December.

No sun/uv cracks in the sidewalls. Cracks started appearing on the Michies after the first year.
  • The Hankook's are really gaining popularity, are reasonably priced and have a great ride.
  • SAMSON / ADVANCEGL83 / GL283BRAND TIRE

16 PLY for drive or steer axle

    Single load 4805 lbs

    Dual 4540 lbs
price about $250 each plus installation

    Hankook
    Max Single Load (lbs) 4940
    Max Dual Load (lbs) 4675

Cost about $300 each plus install.

Note heavier weight range does not necessarily mean longer tread life.

So you need to multiple the number of tires on axle times the load range and determine if you are within limits.

I have three Samsom 19.5 I am perfectly happy with but they are rated for the load I have on my Southwind. As for China Vs Korea it does not matter. Korea used to be in China's place versus Japan. Taiwan used to be degraded also.
But the prices are so close you might want to look at the recalls for each brand. I have not
  • Yes here is. The Samson is a much lighter tire with less weight carrying capabilities. I was going with Samson until the dealer pointed out that fact to me, in writing. I went back to the Hankook, which I had and am very happy with them.
  • I went with the Korean Hankooks. Working fine.
    Isn't Sampson made in China?
