Hard water stain

I think I saw the answer to this once, but can't find it now or remember the solution.....When running the rooftop AC, water will trickle off the roof(normal) and run down the side of the coach leaving a water stain that doesn't seem to want to clean up. Suggestions?

THANKS
  • ^^^ I'd also suggest adding some extensions to the drip rail to get the water away from the MH too.
  • I would avoid anything abrasive such as rubbing compound or soft scrub, at least on a continual basis. Try the vinegar and, once clean, apply a good wax.
  • I've used "Soft Scrub" with a sponge. Works for me. It also takes care of much of the black streaks.

Vinegar's not going to hurt paint. While it has its powers, damaging paint is not one of them. Also, it's been suggested to use rubbing compound or polishing compound, both will work. And it really shouldn't be "hard" water, just regular old condensation. But, none the less, either of those remedies will work.

Most times a light rubbing compound will clean it up and leave a nice shine
  • Someone once told me to use vinegar.
But given the way it cleaned my garage floor, maybe it's too strong for paint.
