Don't want to get into a 2nd Amendment debate here but I will say part of the reason I have never felt threatened is because I do carry. I have never felt threatened to a point of ever having to clear my holster and pray to God I never have to, however, I would rather have it and never need it vs. need it to protect my wife/son and not have it.
