I have never felt threatened to the point of needing a gun while camping or anywhere else. I live outside of Baltimore, MD murder capitol of the world.
I have nothing against those who desire to carry a gun to feel secure, it is there choice.
However at the end of the day I believe guns do more harm to our society than good. It has been my real experience that too many bad things happen with guns that were intended for good purposes.
