Yes, I have opened the door of the rig with a .45 at the ready. Once. At 4 A.M.!
I have felt threatened more often by bears and moose than by humans, though.
However, with the aggressive stance by the Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Department with problem animals, even that is becoming much more rare.
So, do I still carry?
