Why do so many feel that they have to use deadly force all the time.
I think it must be because of a deep routed fear, and the knowledge that they can not protect themselves any other way.
Never felt threaten to the point of needing a gun. I was in a park once where there was a RV'er in fatigues carrying his side arm exposed. I guess he must have thought he was protecting the rest of us. Now he made me nervous.
What a load of crap. I'm sure the VICTIMS in the movie theater all became victims because they could not protect themselves in any other way. I wonder how many pleaded with the killer before they were shot. What about the victims at Luby's Cafateria, or McDonalds? Did they all feel that they could "negotiate" with the deranged killers? Most were shot while trying to flee so flight did not save them.
Now, how many of you people/victims carry bear spray or take your dogs into movie theaters, cafeterias, or even McDonalds? I'm guessing NONE.
Have you ever thought that the guy in the fatigues was just not sure about YOU, which is why he was showing that he could protect himself? He dealt with the situation that way so that he did not have to use his gun. Your prejudgement goes both ways.
