Heat pump working at 28 degrees ambient
I did an experiment with my heat pump tonight. Wanted to see at what temp it would switch to the furnace. It is down to 28 right now and the heat pump is still running blowing 104 degrees out the vent...

The reason it only got to 42 inside was because i had the therm set on 40 degrees. I dont winterize for a few reasons so was turning on furnace because of the freezing temps. Was just curious what the heat pump would do.
I have dometic penguins. Dont believe they have heat strips. In fact dont even know if a heat pump can also have a heat strip.
