I have dometic penguins. Dont believe they have heat strips. In fact dont even know if a heat pump can also have a heat strip.
Yes, they can, but kind of redundant and a waste of money. Remember one thing, MOST basement water areas NEED the furnace or Hydronic heating system to keep the bay water systems from freezing. A RV Heat Pump will NOT do that. It ONLY heats the interior of the RV. Another reason to have the system shut down and go to furnace if it gets below 32 degrees. Doug
