Learn as much as you can about the 12 volt DC system including the converter/charger, house batteries, house/auxiliary battery on/off switch and solenoid,12 volt dc fuse panels, how the engine alternator charges the house batteries while driving and how the converter charger charges the house batteries while you are plugged into shore power or while the RV generator is running. RV appliances, furnace blower, and fresh water pump, all depend on 12 volt DC from the house/auxiliary batteries. Good tires, less than 5 years old by date codes are essential for safety, a tire that comes apart can damage the holding tanks, propane lines and wiring with flailing steel belt and may cause loss of control. The engine cooling system must be in good repair including radiator, clutch fan, water pump and all belts and hoses. Brake fluid should be changed every 2 years to prevent brake fade on long grades. Make sure entire brake system is good order including front flex lines, calipers, etc.
