See I told you I was mechanically unsavvy. Reported so it is clearer to read.
Hi - just another suggestion. I bought a used rental unit from Canadream last year and have been very happy with my purchase. Canadream gives you a list of all repairs and maintenance that each unit has had done in the past complete with mileage documentation from each trip, as well as where each trip started and ended. My unit only had about 6 trips on it. You get a pretty good picture of what the unit has been through. Also you can get all repairs done through them at 20% off after you purchase. All their RV techs are certified so they are the real deal, the van portion has a full service before the unit is given away.
The markup on dealer units is ridiculous and you are going in blind, out on the streets - you have no clue what kind of shape the unit is in. Buyer beware!
I have been really impressed with them and I believe they take care of those that are in the Canadream Club, all sorts of extras. True, my unit didn't have an awning or generator but I will get them put on through Canadream as needed. You pay either way!
As a female that is not mechanically savvy, I really took my time, went to RV school before I purchased to learn about everything so I would sound half way intelligent when I was asking questions. I am very happy with my purchase and think I made a good choice.
FYI, I just got an email from Canadream in Calgary and they have a clear out special on right now as they are getting new units in for the upcoming season. I believe you have an office in Vancouver.
Good luck,
Lynn
I been to the Canadream in Delta. People there are nice and informative. I will definitely check them out again. how much were you able to negotiate in terms of price?
I know RV markup is huge. I don't want to get butchered.... any advise would be greatly appreciated...
