Help me understand how my slide outs work

I am having slide out issues. Knowing how the slide mechanism works might go a long way in my understanding of why my slide is trying to tear away my vinyl floor. I look under the slide from the outside but it is all enclosed, I don't see any bars, gears, wires .. nothing. A good video on understanding how your slide out works would be most helpful. Thanks.
