OKay all! I really appreciate everybodies help and suggestions. Here is where I am:
I cut two strips of wood and drywall screwed them together the exact height of my ceiling. Made two of these. Drilled a hole in each end for a piece of twine to stretch between them. Took them apart and brought them and my cordless driver out looking. Put them back together at the dealer. I used this jig to measure the height of RVs by placing the sticks on the ground and stretching the twine across the RV. Here are some pictures:

You can see on the 2010 Bounder I am about 6 inches too low. HOwever, with a Journey, I think I have lots of room as long as there is not a Satellite dome, they stick up about as high as this roof A/C unit.
Also, I was complaining to my neighbor last night about the difficulty I am having finding a coach that will fit. He said the previous owner had a "Huge" class-A in there. I asked him if he knew what it was and he said a Winnebago something-or-other. He also confirmed it had basement air!!
I am starting to be a happy shopper again. What is a real coincidence, before I ever measured my garage, I had narrowed my search down to a newer bounder or a earlier Journey DP. Some of you may have seen my earlier threads on this decision process.
Again, thanks for all your help and suggestions and I will keep you posted.
