- BigRabbitManExplorerAsk the seller what the size is! It would be alot more accurate than a group of us speculating from a picture. If it is an online ad, it should have the tire/wheel size listed in the specs. If not listed, then the whole description would be suspect.
- OhhWellExplorerIf you look at the front wheels, it looks like the narrow wheelbase chassis. If it is Ford, they would be the 16.5" wheels. To me, they do look like 19.5 so that would either make it a Chevy Chassis or an incorrect guess based on a small picture by me.
- 427435ExplorerFrankly, they look more like 16.5's to me, but hard to tell.
- It depends whether it is on a Ford or GM chassis!
- UND172ExplorerThanks all, I had a suspected they were the 19.5's. Dodge Guy is correct, I am searching for my first RV and from what I have learned reading all of the great info on this site, I may as well just expect to put new tires on all around. Also good to know there is possibly 225/70/19.5 option, I will check the spacing to see if it can work!
Thanks again! - darsbenExplorer III believe they are 8r/19.5 minimum price for Samson.s is about $210 per tire all in and can go up from there to over $350.00 per tire for a Michelin. Some people have successfully converted to 225/70-119.5 but that depends on clearance between the dually some applications do not have enough room between the rear duallys to do this.
- wrgrs50sExplorerA lot of the older motorhomes had 8R x 19.5 tires.
- dodge_guyExplorer III'm thinking he is looking at this MH as a future purchase and he is wanting to price tires. My guess is 19.5 going by the large diameter of the tire and the short sidewall! As for the width and aspect ratio can't tell.
- wa8yxmExplorer IIIThe size is printed on the tires, Normally both sides.. now sometimes the outside gets rubbed off by brushing up against curbs as I got nudged over yesterday, but the INSIDE of the front tires (or rear for that matter) should still show it.
- Cannot tell from photo.
Ford chassis MHs had 16 inch and GM chassis had 19.5.
If you can look at the front tires, count the number of lug nuts. GMs have 5 on front and ten on rear.
Fords I believe have eight.
