I agree with above statements. Since I tow a van also, I'll add that the only two negatives to having the bikes on the toad is possible interference with the visibility of the toad rear lights, and you can't open the rear hatch of the van without removing the bikes.
My bike hitch can be used either on the motorhome or the toad, and I always put them on the toad.
