Hold tank treatments?

Hello All!
We are new to RV ing, and am wondering if anyone has had any experience with UNIQUE Natural Products, their RV DIGEST IT Holding Tank Treatment? They claim in digests all brands of toilet paper, cleans sensors, made in the USA, is inexpensive, unclogs tanks overnight, contains no Formaldehyde, destroys odors causing pollutants, and liquefies solids in the holding tank.
We are environmentally aware, or at least try to be, and if this product is good, then we would use it.
Does anyone have any direct experience with this? If not, what is the most environmentally friendly way to take care of our holding tanks?
Thanks all for all your help!
G Man
  • Unique is second only to Happy Camper as a tank treatment additive. We've used both and settled on Happy Camper.

Lots of water will also do the trick, but you'll have to dump the tanks all that more often. We dump once a week - 8 or 9 days if we're careful.

    Water........

Higher liquid to solid ratio and all will be well.
Unique is a good product.........but really do not need 'chemicals'.

RV waste tanks are just holding tanks. Fill them, dump them, flush them.
    No treatment necessary.

X2 no special toilet paper either.
  • What old-biscuit said is good advice. No chemicals needed. If you smell something check the seals around the toilet, make sure there is water in the p-traps.
