- Executive45Explorer IIISpeedCo will also check and correct your SCA if necessary....Dennis
- NeverHome2ExplorerFormer Boater has it exactly right. Speedco checks transmission and differential fluid and tops off if needed, checks oil hubs, and also disposes of the oil. And cheaper than I can buy the oil and filter. You would have to be crazy to do anything but Speedco.
- wolfe10ExplorerAs others have said-- easy. Just larger volume. Single oil filter.
What is engine serial number? Earlier ones have a grease zirk on the fan hub that you need to be aware of! - FiestaExplorerI was surprised how easy it was to do an oil change on my DP Cummins ISL9. Easy access to filter and drain plug with rear on fully extended jacks. Strap wrench for filter and 3/8" drive rachet. 6 1/4 gal. Delvac on sale at Walmart. Filter from Amazon. Next time will be cheaper since I now have a strap wrench, pans, buckets, rags, etc.

Very easy
* pick the closest of the 3 Speedco locations in Illinois
* drive up to the location, go inside for your bay assignment
* chose your oil with the service advisor
* chose whether you want CAT or Baldwin Filters
* chose whether you want your generator serviced or not
* chose whether you want the oil analysis or not
45 minutes later...start your drive home with your oil analysis, tire inspection report and the peace of mind that your unit has fresh fluids and is properly lubricated.
Oh, and the smile on your face because you could not have purchased the oil and filters for what you just paid for this comprehensive service.
Hit the wrong button, sorry about that! - FormerBoaterExplorerVery easy

I bought one with a nipple so I can run a hose to the waste container. I drain 5 gallons out then switch containers. My CAT takes 9 gallons. That has made changing the oil a lot easier over the years. I bought one from Fumoto
https://fumotodirect.com - OzlanderExplorerI would think that if you can do it yourself, you would have looked at the engine and found all the answers there.
- AikenRacerExplorerMine is no problem. Just be sure to have either a LARGE oil pan or two normal pans. I use a strap wrench for the filter. Be safe under the vehicle.
- dakdaveExplorernot a hard thing to do at all,but requires a few things
a place to do it
a place to dispose of old oil and filter
heavey duty jack stands
proper filter wrench
grease gun for chassis lube
old clothes to get dirty etc.
get filter from cat dealer ,should only have one
theres more to this than changing oil and filter.
greasing chassis and driveline, checking oil in differential, looking for leaks drips loose parts etc.
