I replaced mine and I'm very happy with the results.
I contacted Thetford via e-mail and they sent back info about which toilets would probably fit my rig. The toilet I had picked out would not have had the clearance to fit. The toilet I used only had 1/2 inch of clearance from the back wall while the toilet that came with my rig had about 2 1/2 inch. For example, the Aqua Magic V has a dimension of 7 5/8 inches from the center of the drain to the back of the toilet. The Aqua Magic Bravura has 11 inches. For the Aqua Magic Bravura to fit you rig you must have 3 3/8 inches or more clearance from the back of your existing toilet to the wall. If you have less the Aqua Magic Bravura will not fit.
I was able to fit the Aqua Magic Style II in my rig.
At the Thetford web SITE you can find the measurements for all of their toilets. You can compare the dimensions of your old toilet to the dimensions of you new toilet, and the dimensions of your new toilet to clearances in your RV.
Installation is easy. Easier than installing a residential toilet as the RV toilet weighs less and it has a rubber gasket instead of a bees wax gasket.
I did have to run a new water line as the old one was too short. That was probably the hardest part. There was not much room to remove the old water line and install a new one.
After installing a new water line it was two bolts and and connecting the water line and you are good to go. I used 2X4's to support the toilet while I attached the water line. I then lowered it onto the bolts.
And if your old toilet has a spray attachment you can install that on the new toilet. Just clip the end off the fitting and install your old spray attachment.
Safe travels.
