How hard to install Blue Ox Patriot and move car to car

I guess my subject line pretty much says what I want ti say. I want to be able to install the Patriot in my 2012 CR-V but will probably buy a new toad in the Spring. Really wonder about the initial in...

I know I have to go through the whole deal with lights and base plate, just like with the CR-V. Just wasn't too sure about the portability of the Patriot.
