The Blue Ox instructions are very good, the hardest part I had, was removing the hidden clips that hold the plastic fascia on the CRV. Then 6 bolts to remove the steel bumper and bolt on the base plate. Clip the fascia back on.
For wiring, I ran the wires under the car to separate bulbs and sockets in the blank taillight section. We use the brake in a box, no problem using in another vehicle.
Be advised the base plate is vehicle specific and the only other vehicle it could be transferred to would be another 12, 13 or 14 CRV.
