How high is the tax in your state

This is my third year of my RV tax. It has gone down but whishing for less.
year 1 3400
year 2 2700
year 3 1900

South Carolina
  • No RV (personal property) tax in Pennsylvania. Just the 6 per cent one time sales tax when you purchase the RV.
Plus the annual registration fee, mine is about $100.00.

In Georgia if it has a motor you now pay a onetime 6.7% sales/use tax. The next years you only pay a $20 tag fee. Without a motor you pay an annual ad valorem tax which is dependent upon which county you are in. On $100,000 of value it could be from $700-$1000 a year. The value goes down each year based upon in NADA values.
  • One time excise tax on ownership transfer, 3 1/4 percent of sale price nominally ($20 minimum), plus $11 title fee for private motor vehicles (not necessarily trailers). There are also some processing fees depending on your documentation situation: liens, title transfers, VIN inspections etc.

Then annual tag fee (which is a tax into the General Fund) starts at $91 first time registration sliding down to $21 in the 17th year of registration.

If your RV is towable, you may tag it for $7 a year as a private trailer. Not necessary, but it helps you to have a tag on it when you go through other states, and buying the tag keeps the county assessor from taxing it as personal property (something not done in my county anyway).
  • Break down
Tax 3rd time for it is,
    tax 1949.56
    tag 24.00
  • No taxes on Oregon. License fees every two years based on value for rvs
