For those of you with air bags.....when you park your rig, how long does it take for you air bags to go down? I'm curious to hear. After two days or so, my coach is pretty much sitting on the stops. Does this indicate a small leak, or normal?Thanks,Jeff

Whenever I stop for the night or longer I purge the air suspension. This should be done before lowering jacks.

I can't say.If I know that I am going to be parked overnite, I just blow out all the air.

It does indicate an air leak. My MOHO often sits in the back yard for three weeks at a time with no noticeable loss in height.Lou05 Travel Supreme Envoy

The air bags on my big truck normally leak out over the course of several hours. If it is windy and rocks your RV it can lower air pressure even quicker as the suspension wiggles. If your RV has air brakes you can try doing the air brake test the big rigs use to check for an air leak. Since the same air supplies the suspension and the brakes it will cover all the air system.You should loose less than 2# in 1 minute when static per DOT.120# nominal air pressure divided by 2 #/min = 60 minutes. Since you last a couple of days, you appear to be fine.

My air system that I installed myself from parts from Freighliner hold air indefinate, sitting since October and checked yesterday. front bags are 40 lbs and rear bags are 65 lbs, front are overload bags on top of springs that have 2 leaves takin out for a softer ride, no air leaks anywhere.

Can you explain why?

My MH has an optional automatic leveling system. It dumps the air before leveling the coach.
Makes sense to me. If you don't dump, the jacks have a much longer travel.

Thanks all. It's as I suspected that there is a slow leak someplace, not a show I'll start hunting it down. Like Wayne said, it will probably get worse. I hope it's not an airbag......

My air leveling will stay level for at least 2 weeks. After 1 month, it needs to be re leveled. I keep an eye on it since the bags are 23 years old. I would rather repair any leaks in my building than on the road.

You have a small leak. You should have it checked. Because if the leak is in an air bag it will only get worse. That's not a good thing when on the road.
Most likely it is a fitting or a valve leaking. But you need to know and get it fixed.
I have replaced three valves in the last three years and an airbag last year. (08 Winne) Two weeks since I pumped the system up, dumped the tanks and refilled the air bags and let it sit with no jacks down. It's just like I left it. Getting ready to go.
