Before I bought the coach, I called our insurance agent and asked what the price would be for that year, make, and model of motorhome with the coverage I wanted. I got my answer quickly and there was no surprise when I added it to my policy.
When I'm trying to decide which of two cars I want to buy, I call my agent and get quotes on each. You might be surprised at what a difference in price there can sometimes be between seemingly similar cars. I factor in the cost of insurance over the life of the car, so that I'm making an informed choice.
I have found insurance agents in several states to be very helpful on this.
