neither our 4200 lb jeep wrangler or the 7k lbs of trailer / race car are a problem - we don't even feel a difference of more than a 1/4 to 1/2 an mpg when towing.
Ive seen as high as 13.25 mpg towing the jeep (thru the mountains of Virginia, Tennessee and Georgia) and that was with the generator running. Worst MPG we've ever seen was 8.9 but i was trying to make up some time.
we set the cruise at 72mph and consistently see 10 to 10.5 mpg (towing the jeep).
our hitch is rated over 30k lbs
