Mine were coming off also, but there were some rubber pieces between the glass and handle. HOw about yours?
I used Clear Silicone on mine.
Makes them slippery so you can get them on easier, then holds well when dried.
If you use glue, make sure it isn't fast drying or sticky so you can get the handles on before the glue takes hold.
