How to prevent leaks in the cabover area?

We've only owned our Coachmen 21qb long enough to make the first payment on it, but I'm already paranoid about leaks in the cabover bed area! (I think I'm on this forum too much! ;) LOL

Aside from storing it under a shelter, what do I need to do as far as maintenance? There is no front window, but there is a small side window and a vent. The salesman told me I should just caulk the outer seams once a year. Is there a sealant or wax or something else that I should use? What do you do to take care of yours?

seal all your top seams with Eternabond tape and you are good to go for around 10 years. Eternabond is AWESOME!!!

Do you just seal the roof seams or all seams? Is the tape unsightly or can you even seal the sides and it still look good?
  • Pressure test yearly or bi-annually to find any potential leaks. It is TOTALLY worth the investment.

Check yearly and re-caulk outer edge of windows every 5 years with Alex caulking.

Re-caulk all roof and vent seams every 2 years with Dicor lap sealant ...
