- Doug_and_Cassi_ExplorerTake the doors off before laying it down. Watched the tech do mine. Took him about 3.5 hours. Not something I would try myself. It takes two people to do it.
- Do NOT take the wood panels off as they are probably glued in place. Remove all 4 doors if a 1200, you can remove all 4 doors in less time than it takes to remove the wood panel inserts. This makes the refer extremely lighter to remove from the cabinet and also free's up hallway clearance if close to the opposite wall. Remove both doors if a 2 door. Once you remove the doors you will see either round screw hole plastic caps on the top and bottom (newer 1200) or you remove the top and bottom 1 inch wide fascia plastic cover to expose the screws. 1200 have 4 on top and 4 on the bottom. - IvylogExplorer IIITake the wood panels off the four doors. Remove the screws behind the black plastic caps that hold the unit in. Build a platform the same height as the bottom of the unit to slide it onto. Undo the bolts inside the unit that holds the cooling unit before sliding out and turning the unit and then lay on the floor face down.
