For starters I was 44. There is another tread about how long into retirement people will be keeping their motor home. I am no where close to retirement and I feel like I don't fit the demographic. I want to keep this specific to class A DP's and late model ones say within 5 years old because of the huge expense.

I was 37. I'm 48 now and still have the same motorhome.

I was 34 when I bought my monaco, at 38 I moved to a 5th wheel. I loved the bus, but the 5th wheel has a lot more space, I already had the truck, and no longer have another engine to maintain.

I'm 63 and still not old enough to have one.

How young were you when you bought your first DP?

Bought the DP @ 64 after selling our 98 Safari Trek gasser. Still using it and as we speak the DW and I are sitting here in Yellowstone. What a great lifestyle RVing has been for me,I purchased my first MH in 1972 (a class C cab over on Dodge chassis).

61 in 2002 and now 73 in 2014 and still have the same MH. Planned for it to our last one and it is.

First gas rig purchased in78 and last gas rig purchase in 99.

I was about 38 in the year 2000 when I purchased my first DP. I'm still only on my second unit and I am 52.

I was 34 and still have it now at 45. It was our second class A and first Diesel. Put almost 70,000 miles on it and loved every minute of it. Will probably start looking for our 2nd DP in a few years.

I am in my fourth motorhome, and have never had a DP.
At age 73, I think my current coach will be my last one.
But that's OK, we like it.
