HR Augusta Service Manual/Wiring Diagram

Just bought a 2008 Holiday Rambler Augusta 30' (293TS) motorhome. I'm trying to find a Service Manual and Wiring Diagrams. Would like help in finding either of these. I have a generic owner's manual and a lot of the individual pamphets/manuals for the indivdual components, but I have nothing on the overall chassis.

Thanks, Jon

Altho' the wiring diagram would be nice to have, suggest that if you're concerned about how the Converter/Charger actually performs, then open a tread on that topic. There are lots of threads, opinions and experts on 12VDC here.

On wiring, Winnie seems to not only follow a wiring diagram "logically" but also "physically." In other words, the wiring not only does what the diagram says, but actually IS where the diagram says it is. Many other RVs are wired to function as drawn, but exactly HOW it was done was up to the "electrician" on that coach, on that day.
  • My bad. Must have had a senior moment/week. Pretty bad for a retired electrical engineer. Certainly it's the converter. Don't have an installed inverter.

    Sorry

x2 on Winnie's support pages! Was able to correct the TV cabling on one that had been totally botched by a "hired expert" a couple years before.
  • This is one of many reasons, I have always been a Winnebago fan, they have all wiring, plumbing, etc plans on the internet for downloading.

Doubt I can actually help, but I can still ask you to clarify:

INVERTER: Makes 120VAC from 12VDC to operate appliances that would otherwise need Shore Tie or Generator - These use battery, don't charge it

CONVERTER: Makes 12VDC from 120VAC to operate lights, appliance logic boards and small fans that would otherwise run from the House Battery - Takes over for the Battery when you connect to shore tie or run the generator

CHARGER: Makes 12VDC from 120VAC to recharge the House Battery when you connect to shore tie or run the generator

Not all of us have an Inverter, and most of us have an integrated Converter/Charger device.

Where do you believe the problem is?
  • Yes I do have some concerns. The Inverter for one example. The chassis battery went down once while plugged into shore power. Wondered why the inverter didn't charge it. The inverter fan seems to cycle more than I think it should. So I'm thinking about replacing it with one that has charging regulation that doesn't overcharge the batteries. Would also like to add a 12 V outlet - there isn't any in the MH. All the batteries were new when I purchased the MH. Would also like to modify the TV/stereo system, maybe add a video switcher so that satellite is viewable in BR. Would like to know where the tank heaters get power. etc, etc,
  • Monaco doesnt give dealers that unless we beg and beg. Do you have a concern with anything?
