For Doug, a) Original post mentionned the oil was brown, i suspect oil has debris, like I suspected mine from the outcome I experienced b) The monaco has power gear hydraulic jacks
NO, what he stated was, the NEW Oil he purchased was brown(HWH with no red dye). The OLD oil was Pink(Dextron 3 with red dye). Now, to your system. YOU are comparing apples to oranges. Powergear is different from HWH. Depending on how old your PG jacks are, they have grease Zircs on the bottom collars to inject grease into the bottom seal/collar to help retract the jacks when they stick or fail to fully retract. Replacing Trans fluid has no real affect on operation. If it makes you feel good, then do it. When you rebuild a PG jack, the rebuild kit has the new bottom collar and Grease zirc. IF you do NOT have that Grease zirc on the jacks, your system is before they installed them as standard. Also, on older PG jacks, IF the reservoir was too full, then the jacks would NOT fully retract because the fluid had no place to return too since the reservoir was full. This usually happens when the fluid is checked with 1 or more jacks not fully retracted(sticking) and they top it off, or they check when jacks are extended and top off. Doug
Pet Peeve of mine is when people post and they do NOT have the system that is being posted about.
