HWH jack going up slow

Which model HWH do you have? I have the 200 series and mine uses Dextron III transmission fluid. Mine have been slow retracting also over the years and when this happens I spray them with silicone spray and they will retract within about 15 sec or so. I usually spray them once a year.

So the oil in your reservior is brownish while the new hwh oil you added is pink?

My oil is pink as is the Dexron I will add if I run low.

1. HWH uses Dextron 2 Transmission oil. It is red(not pink)
2. HWH Jack fluid is CLEAR. It is Dextron 3 WITHOUT the Red dye.
3. When you added the HWH fluid, it mixed with your original RED Dextron 3 and diluted to turn PINK.
4. NO PROBLEM, Same fluid.
5. Doing what you did HAD NO AFFECT on the Jacks retracting. You just were cycling them more and the Internal seals on the slow jack was massaged to work faster. The slow jack problem will come back. The fix is to replace or rebuild the slow jack. The Internal seals are bad.
6. Do This, Extend all 4 jacks for 48 hours. Then retract. Odds are the slow jack problem will return. Doug

Sometimes the springs get weak and make for a slow retract. Replaced 2 of ours on a 625 system.

Often HWH jacks just need the ELECTRICAL connections cleaned checked - Battery condition cleaned and checked - have you tried operating them, while running the generator? still plugged in?

Hydraulic jacks don't retract fast on our either,unless we start to drive of forgetting to retract them. Don't do it.
Cleaning the rams with silicone does help especially if they are down in areas like Texas etc with real fine dust an wind.So fine couldn't see it but nothing wanted to work after wards.
Wipe the silicone off, too, with paper toweles etc in a downward direction.

I have had an expirience where one jack was stuck somewhat extended. Extended it all the way and sprayed with silicone and it retracted quickly and fully afterwards.

The rear jack that's furthest from the tank was always slow retracting and in that case, I had the springs (2 ea jack) replaced on both rears. Now all four retract quickly...as long as I remember to spray them occasionally.

In today's world I believe you should be careful adding fluid to anything when you aren't sure it is the correct type, weight etc.

On HWH jacks, there is nothing electrical that will cause SLOW retract.Doug

You do not have to spray anything on HWH jacks to get them to retract. Of course, that is cheaper than really fixing them, which involve either rebuilding or replacing the cylinders. Doug
