The pump motor is common to both, that is true, but I can't see a pump motor failure setting off the warning buzzer and light while just driving down the road. But maybe....
The Buzzer and warning light have NOTHING to do with the pump. It is only activated by the 4 jacks down switches. One of those switches is causing the jack down and buzzer problem. Doug
