Atwood levelors

My 2008 Tiffin Allegro Open Road came with Atwood levelegs electric leveling jacks. Atwood sold to Dometic. And they no longer make the jacks or parts for the jacks.

I need a new control module. Somebody recommended getting my module repaired, but the shop says that my problem (can't program what level is anymore!) requires a new micro chip. And that can't be repaired.

Looking for any suggestions. The only suggestion so far is to go buy HWH. That is pricey...

    1. They still make the jacks, they just don't have the old style main control. They did NOT have the old controls before Dometic purchased them.
    2. Tiffin offers an upgrade program to install the new style Atwood jacks. At least they did a few years ago. They subsidized a small part of the cost of replacement and upgrade.
    3. I would NOT repair or upgrade the Atwood system. It was a pain back then and still a pain today
    4. Yes, go and have CW install an HWH system. Looks like about $4500 installed. I would NOT pay for the extra Computerized(Auto level) system.
    4. EACH Atwood jack can cost anywhere from $600 to $900 if you have a jack go bad. Doug

It's a shame you don't have any expertise in this area... (sarcasm), Wow! And I'm gulping as my small TT didn't cost as much as replacing levelers on a big Class A.

  • There is a new generation of electric levelers that replace the old level legs. Also expensive because everything is replaced. Many dealers and service centers have been trained on installing them. I’m in the process of having our independent repair facility checking out availability and estimated cost.. not sure how good they may be but there is an alternative.
