HWH Levelors and Slideout Failure

I have a model 325 hydraulic HWH leveling system and HWH slide out in a 2008 Dynamax on a Freightliner M2 chassis. The dash warning light and buzzer came on while traveling and I stopped and checked all the jacks, which were fully retracted.

I killed the buzzer and light by turning the key off at the slide out switch (common power I guess since the jack 'run' light also went out). With the key returned to the on position, the green ‘run’ light illuminates, but pressing any jack down button only results in a solenoid click under the coach near the main control box/motor. The pump motor does not engage. Same thing when you ask the slide to go out, you only hear a solenoid click.

I called HWH and emailed them as well, but they are too busy to respond to their customers. I was told it would be several weeks before I heard back.

Does anyone have any thoughts on where I should start my search for this problem?

    Sorry, for your original problem NONE of those 2 solenoids would cause the Dash Buzzer and indicator light to come ON. ONLY one or more of the Jack down switches would cause that, or a Short in those switches wiring. The FIRST solenoid is activated by the touch pad to power up the 12 volt system for the control board. The SECOND solenoid activates the Hyd 12 volt pump motor. Doug

    I agree, but in this case my prior post was correct, it was one of the solenoids and I replaced it.

    Actually I sold that rig last November but maybe Paul can be of service to someone else with an HWH system. Our current coach has a Valid setup.

    Think I have found the problem. There are two Ford type starter solenoids strapped to the pump motor. The first is in series with the second and seems to be 'on' whenever there is power to the system. The second activates upon command from the control panel and if the first is energized, the second will complete the circuit and start the pump motor.

    The first solenoid appears to have failed.

    These people installed the system originally. Their names is on the paperwork. I was reluctant to call them as I am on the west coast and cannot take the coach in, but maybe the would help on the phone. Nothing to lose.

    The Buzzer and warning light have NOTHING to do with the pump. It is only activated by the 4 jacks down switches. One of those switches is causing the jack down and buzzer problem. Doug

    Give these guys a call... authorized HWH repair shop in Elkhart.

    Did some work for me this week on jacks and slideout, very good people and really know what they are doing.

    Note: only open 7a-3p EDT Mon-Thurs.
