Hydro Hot Question

I have the Hurricane system in the existing coach but looking at several coaches with a Hydo Hot. Mine works in conjunction with an RV/Marine electric hot water heater but I understand the Hydro-Hot has no tank, only a small electric heating element and needs to run the diesel burner for hot hot water??

Is this correct? or will the electric element provide enough heat to wash clothes, take shower, and etc?
