I-80 West from Chicago,ill to York, NE

I just drove from Lincoln NE to Iowa City IA about two weeks ago. There was construction along the way west of Des Moines but it was a minor inconvenience at most. Occasionally there would be a right or left lane closed portion but otherwise normal double lane Interstate throughout the work zone.

I was just through I80 a few weeks ago and there is road construction but it moves just fine, remember to slow down in the construction zones, state police are watching those very close nowadays.

Better post a link to that law. Many Wal Marts in NE not only allow overnight parking they even have spaces for OTR trucks. The Flying J's all allow parking. I think someone is not stating fact.

By passing a local municipal ordinance. It can and is done all over the place! Mostly by the local city or county government but rarely at the state level.

We are no longer free so in a Socialist Society they are afraid of Old Folks with RVs. I'm from Oklahoma, does NE even have a football team? Only thing I know comes from there is corn and ham so I don't go there LOL. Really, I'm just trying to push a button but love NE because I got my best sleep in a Peterbilt on I 80 from Cheyenne to Lincoln at night at 80 MPH. Just set the cruise and put your feet on the dash, roads were good and no cops. Iowa is pretty rough but passable, the rest is pretty good.

I drive from Ottawa, Illinois to Moline Illinois and just drove that route today. The stretch has about two constructions zones including one for about 2 miles. Oh and remember there are two seasons in Chicago, Winter and Road Construction!!!!

I've never had a problem with overnites in Nebraska. Walmat truckstops etc.

The above link gives you an interactive map of all the highway construction projects in Iowa. Looks like several on I-80 including a westbound bridge replacement and installation of median barricades west of Des Moines. Don't have actual experience with delays.

Thank you Hayden, hoping someone might have been that route in the last few days. I saw the highway report and like I wrote it doesn't look good in Iowa.
