I-95 blocked
I planned on going to Florida using I-95 on 06 October. I understand it is closed in South Carolina. Does anyone know when it will reopen? Thanks

I am being absolutely serious when I say "God Only Knows".
The problem is flooding due to heavy rains and Well.. Only God knows for sure when the rains will end.. Where I am (3 miles off I-95, exit 49 in GA.. it rained nearly every day for over 2 months.. Heavy rains.. now it's SC's (AND NC's) turn, Heaviest rain they have recorded in.. As far as I know EVER.
When the rains ends.. Road will open withing 8 hours.
They were detouring traffic to I-77 last night.
I want to know where their 1000 year history came from. As far as I know, there were no US citizens here 1000 years ago and the history does not support their analogy. True weather records only go back a few hundred years.
An small sample of the distrust for NOAA.
• The South Carolina State Climatology Office frequently uses precipitation frequency estimates, but never for
a period greater than 100 years. I don't believe in my 15 years working with the SC State Climate Office I've
ever responded to a request for a 1,000 year precipitation frequency. (State Climatology Office, South
Carolina)
