To the OP: My sincere advise to you is: Don't do it!! A couple of months ago I saw a 2004 American Tradition motorhome on EBay that looked gorgeous. The narrative that accompanied stated it was in supreme condition. My wife and I flew out to Fort Lauderdale to buy it. It would not even run and it was in despicable shape, with large delaminated areas. I was irate and walked away. We wasted close to $1,500 on that trip. I now swear that I will not go anywhere more than 100 miles to see a motorhome. Not saying this could happen to you, but surely there are others closer to California and just as good.
Well we are leaving on the 9th with a one way ticket. The amount of pictures of the coach show no wear whatsoever. This is an 09 Winnie Itasca 28B with 18000 miles. If the
owner, Mike, doctored the pictures then he is pretty good at photoshop. After looking nationwide for a coach specifically with the features I want this coach has them
plus a few more. The price is hard to turn away from also. IF I have any reason to feel this coach was misrepresented I will simply enjoy Minneapolis with my wife, book
a flight home and look further. I prefer original owner verses a coach on a dealers lot that may have come from an auction or repo. People that know their coach is going to be repo'ed
rarely change the oil, keep service records or basically could care what happens to the piece. I have looked local and I am not happy with what I have found. If a used RV salesman's lips are moving
then he is most likely lying. Our first experience with Mike Thompson in Fountain Valley was terrible. The salesman was rude because I asked too many questions, was rude when we decided to leave
and basically appeared hung over. What a jerk. The second salesman we dealt with was great, helpful and knowledgable, unfortunately he didn't have what I wanted.Spending this amount of money I
will not compromise. I look forward to giving you all a report after the 2000 mile test drive.
