I have a 2004 Southwind by Fleetwood, and for the life of me, I cannot figure how to get the ice maker to work. I'm sure it's something simple that I have missed but do ya'll have any suggestions?
Ours is shut off at home and in the RV. Everyone we've had was always a problem. One fridge valve ( inside) broke at home and ruined our kitchen. Thousands of dollars in damage. No more for us.
as stated the ice maker must have 120vac AKA AC to operate that means no ice while traveling or dry camping unless an inverter is being used
A/C is air conditioning.. yes i knew what the poster meant, we all did, but lets NOT confuse the issue
we use a portable ice maker and we fill it with water from a dispenser machine 25 or 30 CENTS for a gallon of water, cheaper than running to the store for bagged ice
My 2006 southwind 37c makes ice very well,i even have it plugged in next to my house with a 1/2 water tank and it makes ice .When i first get started on a trip.i make sure i have had the frig running for 3 days, prior to leaving. the freezer gets cold first then the frig gets cold.there is a water shut off behind the frig on the outside access. Nor cold 1200
Put tape across ice maker. If it rips its running. I found running on water pump can help. If you hear your pump run its pumping water. Whats temp in freezer? Ice maker has temp switch and will not run if not cold
