illuminated light switches

Does such a thing exist for switches that are illuminated or glowing? Not just when they are on but glow all the time? When we get in our MH in the dark, the interior light switch is with the rest of about 6 other switches that control everything from disconnect to awning so it can cause a bit of fumbling tryng to find the right one. I know they make a residential one, be nice if they made an RV/marine one. The ones I currently have are like in the link below. I did a google search and couldn't come up with anything. Many light when you turn them on, I want one that is lit/glows all the time so I can find it in the dark.

  • Try looking here I used these and the have an "on" indicator light and another light indicating power is available, depending on how you wire the switch of course.
  • Our new Outback has multiple switches all in one location also, and when it's dark, very hard to find the light switch. We found some glow-in-the-dark stick-on stars in the craft-office section of Wall Mart. Little package of glow-in-the-dark stars only cost $1.50. Put one on right under the main light switch, and not an issue any more.

Yes, they do make them, I had a 2010 Keystone, Sprinter which had them. At first I was annoyed by the them because if the brightness of the blue light. But, over time I became dependent on them as they provided the needed night light feature as well as the location of the switch.

I traded that unit for a new Cougar and really miss the lighted switches. Like you, I've searched the Net for them but have not come up with a source either. I know, I'd probably be able to get them from Keystone, but I heard so many sad stories about people trying to get part from them, I'm reluctant try my luck.

Perhaps I'll bite the bullet and call them, after all what's worst that can happen?
  • Had that problem in many areas of our RV. Inexpensive battery operated motion led lights solve the problem nicely and you can Velcro them anywhere. We have them inside cabinets, sitting on ledges so the nighttime trip has light. You can grab one and use it for just about anything you would use a flashlight for.

WALMART lists a glow in the dark product duct tape - don't know anything at all about it but maybe will work for you...
  • Those switches at home draw a minimal amount of power to keep them lit all the time. Your batteries would not take a constant load during storage without dying. I use the old system of feel and count. I just count over so many to get the right switch. I just use memory to get light where I want and then can read from there.
