I don't know about you, but after about 7-10 days in one spot, I start climbing the walls. I can't wait to hit the road tomorrow and drive. Sure the destination is fun (Disney World) but I'm actually looking forward to the journey. I just love sitting behind the wheel watching the scenery go by and solving all of the world's problems in my mind as I glide on down the highway.It is my happy place. When I'm behind the wheel, everything is right in the world. Nothing makes me more content than to have my family behind me in the safety and comfort of our coach while I travel this beautiful country. I am truly grateful that we have this opportunity.

I agree. A road trip is a journey, not a destination. :)I enjoy the traveling.

I'm very happy for you but, I'm the opposite when it comes to driving. I'm a retired truckdriver and after 44-1/4 over the road fighting traffic trying to make my schedules I enjoying being in my coach for 6 months enjoying the view of Lake Havasu! Good Luck, on your driving and your RV Camping.

I too really love to drive. I pushed a patrol car 12 hours a day for 25 years, but that never changed my love for driving. I always thought I should have been a cross country truck driver, but, like J-Rooster, I might have grown to hate driving, but I doubt it. And just like gbopp the trip is the journey.

Half way through the first snowbird trip and the only thing I've decided on this topic is 2 weeks at one place is the limit. 5 hours on the road is enough for me.

I like to leave camp riley early maybe by 9:00 and rive till riley late say 3:00. Have spent 3 weeks at some destinations a week or ten days at others. Some are only worth a overnight.

I'm with Holstein, enjoy driving as much as camping. I can stay gone for months but not in one place for more than about 5 days. About 10 hours behind the wheel is my max then its time to set up with a Crown and Coke but I have no problem doing that 4 or 5 days in a row.

Holstein13, I agree, after about 7-10 days at a destination, I'm ready to roll again too. The coach will be in storage for about 2-3 weeks until we are off on another short adventure... maybe Temecula at the Pechanga Casino for a couple of days.

I'm also due for a chassis lube in a few hundred miles so a 65 mile drive to Mira Loma, CA, will be in the near future.

I never thought about that. Makes sense. I wonder if a doctor can look at a beautiful woman the same way as others.

I enjoy driving my coach. I also start getting squirrely after a couple of weeks in the same RV park. I like to hit the road and enjoy the scenery.

But then again I am not a full timer. I still have a stick house and enjoy spending some time in it in the winter months.
