Nice looking motorhome kendall69.
A question, can you use the couch/bed in the down bed position without extending the slide on these 2400's?
Glad you asked. Yes, what I have been doing is driving the long hauls, then stopping while wife and daughter hike or shop and I nap...more like pass out, on the couch. I'm 6' tall and I sleep on my side only feet hanging off the edge. I've don this twice and it's amazing how comfortable it is. Daughter sleeps on the couch as I drive. Plenty of room inside when the wall is closed, and a HUGE bonus when you camp and open the wall.
Also noticed the insert comfort level while driving. I, likes most guys drive with my legs spread apart. With the 2 other c's I had the center cowling would encroach on my right leg. This coach my right leg never touches the cowling. Also the arm rest on the door is wide and flat, and has an upper and lower perch for your left arm while driving. Very comfortable. On my Sprinter the arm rests are curved and skinny not conducive of resting your arm.
These are things you don't figure out on a test ride.
Got into some tight roads today and got in and out like a champ, with another rig I would be white knuckling it. You know the roads that keep getting smaller and smaller then they say DEAD END ahead. With other rigs it would be a LOOOONG back up situation. With this thing it was a three point turn and I drove our forward.
Actual first night camping, and as I was backing into the spot the wife asked, do you want me to help back you in..I said nope, and I was back in in seconds as the size and visibility made it a breeze. Wife liked it as I wasn't screaming WHAT DOES THAT SIGNAL MEAN ?????
