Very interesting thread as it reveals so much about trouble shooting. Some of you have a lot of knowledge and many of us very little. I my case my lack of knowledge can be a good thing as it forces me to isolate what I know. We know that the furnace has worked with an extend a stay setup. We know that when the extend a stay source was removed the furnace doesn't work. I am not clear about the stove and how long it would have worked after the change over so we don't know if the stove worked without issue after the change over or if it just lighted once for a brief period as a test. We do know it is not working well now or at least the electric igniter is not working. Propane smell is present but we are not sure of the source. We believe the furnace switches are set properly. Mine are small and the positions close together. Without my glasses I set the switch to the electric heat and not the gas which would turn on the fan but too cold for heat pump to provide any real heat. It never hurts to double check the simple things. If everything inside is good and power is obviously good as it was not an issue before the changeover then checking the valve settings seems appropriate. It seems the answer will be something small as it would be quite the coincidence for major problems to happen at the point where you just changed the source of fuel. So at least take a few minutes to retrace all the obvious including running the stove for five or 10 minutes if it works. If it doesn't you know it is a bad connection and perhaps the connections you re established are loose. Did you do the soapy water thing on all new connections? Perhaps not as it is cold where you are as this would not be a problem if was not. Good luck and I know Kim always reports back.
