Also, you have a now 22 year old rig... I think you are going to be lucky to be getting down the road by itself of the RV's of that vintage..
In the end, only YOU can determine what your rig can handle.. Sure, add a #10k hitch to it.. Does that make it possible to tow a heavier vehicle?? Dunno?? Sure, you'll get down the road, but can your trans handle it? Doubt it... You probably won't "kill your family or someone else's family" like was said, but you'll likely 'kill' your trans and be stuck out somewhere where you don't wanna be..
