Fleetwood does down grade the towing capacity cause of the frame extension and the hitch they install.
My 08 Bounder is rated at 5000 lbs from Fleetwood but Ford rated the chassis at 5500 lbs towing.
The small F-53 chassis have a higher towing rate around 6000-7000 pounds by Ford but yet Fleetwood still pushes them out of the factory at 5000 lbs even today.
