Insurance Shopping

We have had our RV insurance coverage through State Farm since we were camping with TT's. Lately, I have been not too happy with State Farm for other reasons and so I thought I'd shop around. I have quotes from Allied via Good Sam and from Progressive. I have a call in with Geico and American Family Insurance and have yet to receive their quotes.

I sure would like to hear your view, good and bad, for your insurance carrier and coverage, etc.

Thanks!
  • You already know this, but be sure on the coverage that they quote...IE., limits on liability, collision, comprehensive, deductibles, and actual items that are covered. Some of the "Save 15%" insurances are good about quoting minimum coverage and may have several exclusions. Plus, having an actual live agent that you can go to means a lot. We have ours through Nationwide...in fact, we have all of our vehicles and primary residence with Nationwide. To date, we've had a couple of claims on our house and on a car and all were handled with the utmost professionalism and speed. Good Luck!
  • Nationwide here. I always shopped around every couple of years. With RVs I have only found Progressive & Nationwide to be competitive in my part of AZ.
