2012 Newmar Dutch Star ~ Would like to take out large couch and add two recliners, table between, and possibly remove small couch across from it and replace with nice custom wood cabinet that would house a TV that would raise up and also hold our printer and files in drawers. Tried Master Tech in Indiana and it was a disaster. Need to find a high quality company that can provide such modifications. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.

What kind of disaster? Did they do it and now it has to be redone? The recliners should be easy. The cabinet will require a master cabinet maker with some creativity and will cost considerable bucks. You may want to consider a TV that is permanently mounted or that subs for a computer monitor. 32 inch would be nice size. I use a mac mini on regular tv and it works great with blue tooth keyboard and trac pad. Connects via hdmi.

Connects via hdmi.They tore everything out without bothering to measure and had to put it all back, as it would not fit in the small couch area. So, considering taking out the large couch instead. I want a TV that raises out of a cabinet, as there is a window behind that couch and I don't want to block the window all the time.

Furniture is easy. We ripped out all the garbage euro chairs and sofa that came with the unit and replaced it with regular home stuff. Easy enough to do.Custom wood work is more difficult and I don't know of anyone to recommend.

We had our work done at Ramer Chair just North of Wakarusa on a county road.. Matched the old stuff and did a great job.. The price was very reasonable as we are on a fixed income.. We removed the booth and had a cabinet with a table with two chairs.. Then we had the TV cabinet replaced with a new TV.. All wood was hard wood(Oak) and finished like fine furniure.. Mike Mathews..

There are a lot of cabinets on the market that raise and lower the tv, I would measure the space and research them. You might have to downsize a little. I would like to know, from those that have replace the furniture with house type, how do you anchor it down to keep it from moving around.

Call Precision Painting in Bremen, In. If you are looking a an establish company to do the job.
We took out the furniture and replace with Laz-eBoy Love and Chair wall huger recliners drivers side slide out. Next we chance onto a master craftsman (Cabinet maker) who only charges $35 an hour. We had a entertainment center made which sits on the passenger side with 42 inch flat screen on it. We no longer have to look up.
