I think this is a great question and I wish the manufacturers would take note.
It's dark around here enough without the dark wood they're pushing these days. Not only do I prefer lighter wood but I simply will not buy any new rig with the super dark stuff.

Agree with "Old-Biscuit"! Like the lighter colors much better.

Medium light wood and lighter furniture.

I gravitate to warmer color interiors. I like medium to darker color woods and leathers.

I truly dislike the dark interior. I am currently trying to make our 5'r a " coastal cottage " and everything from the wood, valances, and wallpaper is dark. Not an easy feat!

Lighter colors make it seem more roomy and not as closed in.

What is the point of the question?

I'm a male, I only know the 16 basic colors in a crayon box or Windows Paint. :B

I'm satisfied with the faux oak trim on my pantry and closet slide-out. It LOOKS a little bit like a piece of house furniture.

My only gripe is that I want to change out the carpet for a charcoal grey stone like laminate. I think this would hide the dirt on the floor and be easier to keep clean.

I prefer medium to dark woodwork. I have seen, but do not like white. Too hard to keep clean.
