Maybe, but people still have ideas on what is takes to be "rich".
According to this
NY Times article, the definition of rich changes with how much you make.
For example, folks who were surveyed making less than $25K a year, considered an income of $293K to be "rich". People who made over $120K thought it took an income of $501K.
Some info from the 2012 census . . .
- Only about 4% of US households earn more than $200,000 a year.
- Median household income is $51,000 a year.
- 25% of US households make less than $25,000 a year.
- But then there is that Top 1% incomes. It appears I'm headed South.
