We are " rich " because DH and I are best friends. We are " rich " because we are able to get out of bed everyday. We will be even " richer " when we choose if our " backyard"
stays the same or changes, or if we can move because we don't like our neighbors or the weather.
We have been rv'rs for over 20 years. Our first coach costs us $3000 and went down the road sideways. But it was ours. We are far from " well off".
There are all gammets of the spectrum. Choose to spend as much, or as little as you want. Boondock, or stay in $100 a night resorts.
It is all a matter of perspective, and what is important to you.
We don't go out to eat at $100 restersunts, or buy clothes, shoes and purses. That money is happier spent toward our future home. Our 5r.
How much does it cost for a 2 week Europen vacation? Sounds like about 3 months of travel to me, using our own bed, shower, toilet, and kitchen.
The RV lifestyle is not for everyone. Hopefully, people will read the forementioned article, and realize rv'ing is not for them. We are " trailer trash " and " gypsies ".
Makes for less crowded rv parks and boondocking if those articles scare people away!
