DutchmenSport this is where you over simplified, our whole purpose in getting a MH was to see our children, grandchildren, and other family. We are in AR everyone else is located in AZ, OR, MT, IA, and IL. 5400 miles round trip, if we do not make any excursions. However we do make plenty of excursions in addition to our main focus of seeing everyone. We leave AR in Late January and we return home 8-9 months later. We have had 2 TTs and agree with what was stated by another poster that TTs are way cheaper to own. But they have their drawbacks also. So to avoid getting wet, having to unhook & man-handle a WDH, etc. we went with the MH and are learning the drawbacks to them. Would we go back to a TT again? probably not.
As for being rich, the article is wrong and you are correct in that people will spend their money towards what is important to them. Ours is family and we travel the way we want to to get to see them and lots of this great country in between. :)
